When an order is being delivered from seller to the customer’s address it is called a forward delivery and shipping charges incurred for the same are called forward charges.

When a courier partner is unable to deliver the shipment to the end customer it is marked as a RTO i.e return the shipment back to the pick up address. The charges incurred for shipping the parcel back to the seller’s pick up address are called RTO backward charges.
